Banghuris Homestay

Located 20-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), this homestay is recognized as two-times recipient of ASEAN Homestay Standard Awards in 2015 and 2018. Banghuris is a combination of the name representing three villages namely Kampung Bukit Bangkong, Kampung Hulu Chuchuh and Kampung Hulu Teris in Sepang, Selangor.

Not only visitors will learn about hydroponics vegetable farms, but they can also harvest honey from stingless bees as well as visiting HL Dragon Fruit Farm - the first of its kind with ecotourism concept plus the themed restaurant.

If dragon fruit is your thing, join planting the tree and plucking some fresh harvest. Alternatively, try dragon fruit fried rice or chicken curry cooked with dragon fruit. There is also prawn served with dragon fruit or dragon fruit juices, smoothies and many more.

Then, head to the coffee plantation and harvest some ripe Liberica coffee cherries to get the beans for coffee powder processing. Visitors may also learn on how to make wau kapal, Selangor’s popular kites and visit the local cottage industry producing snacks as well as processing cattle skin (belulang). Furthermore, visitors may also learn how to prepare traditional remedies using natural ingredients such as turmeric, kaffir limes and lemongrass to improve the blood circulation as well as re-energizing the bodies.

Homestay Kampung Lonek

Surrounded by paddy fields, Homestay Kampung Lonek is located in Jempol, Negeri Sembilan. At this homestay, visitors will discover more about the local people in the countryside, including its traditional way of catching fish using bare hands in the drainage canal (mengoca ikan). And not to mention to taste the popular menu of Negeri Sembilan, masak lemak cili api.

There are several attractions around Kampung Lonek such as Teratak Za’ba (a museum dedicated to the life of the learned Malay writer, Zainal Abidin Ahmad or fondly known as Pendeta Za’ba) besides the oldest mosque dome in Jempol district.

Visitors may also join the rubber tapping demonstration as well as the trip to the local cottage industry, planting the plants, making dodol (a sweet toffee-like confection) and pounding the rice using a traditional method. There are also traditional Negeri Sembilan and Minangkabau cultural performances called Bongai.

There are many packages offered by Homestay JKKK Sungai Haji Dorani in Sungai Besar Selangor, tailored to several market segments including pupils in kindergartens, elementary schools, high schools, higher education institutions and general participants including family as well as for academic research.

Activities in the surroundings may include cycling, fishing, river cruise and night tour around the village. Visitors may also ride a mini tractor to enjoy village tour & paddy fields.
